Editorial

Dear colleagues!


Here is the first 2014 issue of the journal "Endocrinology: news, opinions, education." In the new issue presents the latest data in the field of treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2; a comparative analysis of action of different drugs prescribed for this type of pathology set out new strategy for modern methods of treatment of such patients and described the role of vitamin D3 in the development of osteoporosis in women with diabetes mellitus type 2.


The magazine also published a discussion on the topic of this rare neoplasm as the primary peripheral T-cell lymphoma of the thyroid gland without further refinement, developed on the background of autoimmune thyroiditis. Additionally, the published material discussed the possibility of conducting herbal medicine in the treatment and prevention of pathologies of the endocrine organ.


Further in the room is a description of thyrotoxic periodic paralysis. The authors are from Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) outlined in his article clinical and molecular aspects of the pathophysiology of TPP, as well as describe the key principles of its diagnosis and treatment.


Finally, we present a clinical lecture with a detailed description of the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease Itsenko-Kushinga.


Dear readers, our editorial Board hopes that this number, as well as earlier, will help doctors-endocrinologists to find new useful information on modern approaches to the management of patients with endocrine diseases, useful for conducting their clinical practice.
