New opportunities in prevention of progression of a diabetic retinopathy in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2

Abstract

In spite of advances in modern ophthalmology, the diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema – the main reasons for a ablepsia of working age people in economically developed countries. Understanding of that all treatment mode of clinically significant diabetic forms of a retina damage possess serious adverse events can have considerable impact on visual functions, stimulates а continuous search of new ways of prevention of development and progressing of a diabetic retinopathy and macular edema. Now the only therapeutic which had shown high efficiency in prevention of progressing of diabetic damages of a retina in several large multicentre placebocontrolled researches is fenofibrate.
