Influence of Actovegin on the state of the microvasculature in patients with peripheral nervous system disorders
AbstractVascular damage in diabetes mellitus is a serious complication that leads to the development of stroke, chronic cerebral ischemia, ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, intermittent claudication, polyneuropathy, diabetic foot. Traditional pathogenetic therapy in patients with vascular diseases is use of drugs improving microcirculation. One of these drugs is Actovegin. This article describes the results of several studies: Actovegin monotherapy in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy, Aktovegin administration in the complex therapy of patients with type 2 diabetes with purulonecrotic lesions of lower extremities, complex surgical treatment of patients with various forms of diabetic foot syndrome, Aktovegin influence on microvascular endothelium functional activity and microcirculation in general.
