Taurine in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease treatment

Abstract

In double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial taurine clinical efficacy in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and diabetes mellitus type 2 was evaluated. The results of this study have shown effects of taurine on lipid and carbohydrate metabolism and also that taurine is a typical hepatoprotector.
