Dear colleagues!

We are glad to present your attention the new issue of the journal "Endocrinology: news, opinions and education" devoted to thyroid pathology, diabetes mellitus, its complications and obesity.

Endocrinology as a science today is experiencing a period of rapid striking and development. For a long time we observed the problem of the isolation of science, namely the fragmentation of new technological and scientific solutions and medical practice. On the one hand, we have seen the triumph of scientific thought, the discovery of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and on the other there's no real training of medical workers, neoacademist clinics and laboratories, treatment for obsolete algorithms. Fortunately, the period when the practice followed by science, was, in our eyes, these two pillars are actually integrated, and is currently ongoing not only technical modernisation, but also intelligent. And this is the most important for our community event. The proof of this convergence can rightly be considered the journal "Endocrinology: news, opinions, education."

The medical profession is everyday heroism, the great responsibility and sacrifice. Yes, it sounds pathetic, but it really is in our hands the most valuable thing for every person - health. And from our knowledge and expertise depends on the patient's life. To do this, and we publish our magazine to every practicing endocrinologist in our country, no matter where he worked - in a big medical center or in a small district hospital had the ability at the highest professional level to help their patients.

Today it is gratifying to know that among the modern endocrinologists, managers and health professionals many of those who no matter what is committed to improvement and willing to share their knowledge. And we hope that the magazine you now hold in your hands will be a decent aid for your medical practice. The editorial Board wishes you a pleasant reading and new professional achievements.
