Chronic low-grade inflammation and oxidative stress In the development of diabetic neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

The paper analyzes the relationship between markers for smoldering chronic inflammation and oxidative stress with diabetic neuropathy development in patients with type 2 diabetes. Analysis shows that fenofibrate appears to decrease smoldering chronic inflammation intensity, reduce oxidative stress levels and slow down diabetic polyneuropathy development.
