Focus – woman with the metabolic syndrome: newer evidences correctability

Abstract

There has been continuing growth in the number of patients with various manifestations of the metabolic syndrome. Currently, the prevalence of MS is 20–40% of the population. Constantly improving approaches to the early detection of MS and ways of correction of its main manifestations. An important role in the treatment of patients – women in menopause metabolic therapy is given. It proved the feasibility of taurine for correcting violations in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, blood pressure, as well as a number of other manifestations of the metabolic syndrome.
