Effect of hypothyroidism on the cardiovascular system

AbstractThe article is devoted to the role of hypothyroidism in the development of pathologies of the cardiovascular system, such as hypertension, coronary heart disease. It also discusses the relationship of clinical and subclinical hypothyroidism in the development and / or progression of heart failure. Also are discussed about conflicting reports on the association of hypothyroidism with atrium fibrillation. At the end of the article analyzes the data of total mortality in patients with clinical and subclinical hypothyroidism.
