Metabolic therapy of diabetic neuropathy by acetil-L-carnitine

AbstractIn this work has been defined the influence of protracted course of therapy (24 weeks) by acetyl-L-carnitine (Carnicetine) in a dose of 1500 mg/day on clinical implications of polyneuropathy and microvascular blood flow in patients with a diabetes mellitus type 2. 45 diabetic patients were examined (22 patients in the main group, 23 - in experimental group). Improvement of sensorimotor sensitivity from 24th week of therapy and restoration of a microvascular blood flow from 12th week of therapy under the influence of drug was shown.
