Efficiency of integrated approach to therapy of type 2 diabetes mellitus

AbstractThe use of integrated approach in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) leads to improved glycemic and lipid control, by that reducing glucose and lipotoxicity, reducing oxidative stress, and improving body weight. Antioxidant therapy is pathogenetic in relation to the development of complications in patients with DM2, in connection with which the active substances are studied -natural antioxidants, in particular "Glukoberry", which showed high efficiency as an additional metabolic therapy in the integrated management of type 2 diabetes.
