The modern opinion on the diagnosis of obesity

AbstractObesity is one of the main health problems of our time. To identify the causes of the disease, various types of diagnostics are used. The aim of this work is to analyze these methods and based on their merits and demerits, to present a classification developed in 2014 that considers obesity in terms of the presence or absence of concomitant pathology. The new classification helps clinicians to take a broader look at the problem of overweight and obesity and provide an individual approach to therapy.
