Features of natural autoimmunity in patients with diabetes mellitus

Abstract

At present, much attention is paid to research of various autoantibodies and their roLe in reguLation of physioLogicaL processes, especiaLLy in autoimmune diseases, incLuding diabetes meLLitus (DM).

This articLe examines the spectrum of naturaL autoantibodies to organ-specific and organ-specific antigens in patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes meLLitus in the stage of compensation and decompensation. In addition, data on the dynamics of autoantibodies titer is introduced and anaLyzed, based on both traditionaL hypogLycemic therapy and compLex therapy of diabetes with the use of immunomoduLatory poLyoxidonium, regardLess of the type.
