Adipokines and hormonal and metabolic parameters in women with hypothyroidism

AbstractIn the article findings of hormonal and metabolic parameters study and their interrelation in 106 women with primary symptomatic hypothyroidism, depending on treatment availability, are represented. It was found that decrease in insulin sensitivity in women with newly diagnosed hypothyroidism have a part in atherogenic dyslipidemia development. Discovered hypoadiponektinemia, hyperleptinemia in patients with decreased thyroid function also have an impact on atherogenic dyslipidemia development, and therapy with levothyroxine sodium does not lead to lipid metabolism normalization.
