An interesting case of severe primary hyperparathyroidism

AbstractThe cLinicaL case is especiaLLy interesting for the non- typicaLfor primary hyperthyroidism neuroLogic symptoms in an aged woman. Now it' s evident that eLectroLyte disturbances caused the symptoms because they entireLy disappeared after parathyroidectomy. After surgery the patient deveLoped severe hypocaLcemia despite proper substitution with aLphacaLcidoL and caLcium carbonate.
