The effectiveness of modern drugs insulin analogs in pump insulin therapy if reaching the goals of treatment of type 1 diabetes

Abstract

The study presents the results of a retrospective analysis of the medical files of patients with type 1 diabetes hospitalized in the endocrinology department of the city hospital. Patients divided into groups according to the type of receiving insulin and the way of its delivery: 106 patients received multiple injections with insulin analogues, 10 patients with human insulin, and 7 received continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion with an insulin pump. The frequency of acute and chronic complications analyzed depending on the type of insulin therapy received. The leading cause of decompensation of type 1 diabetes was the patient's non-compliance with recommendations for a rational lifestyle and insulin therapy.
