Wound healing in diabetic foot patients

Abstract

Diabetic foot syndrome is one of the most severe socially significant complications of diabetes mellitus. The most dramatic consequences of this complication include high level of amputations of the lower limbs. Long-term diabetic foot ulcers time of healing is quite a complex problem of clinical diabetology. The purpose of this review was to analyze the causes affecting the healing and time of the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. The article deals with the issues of normal pathophysiology, clinical, metabolic and molecular features of the healing of diabetic foot ulcers, the management of chronic wounds.
