Clinical and hormonal characteristics of various gonadal dysgenesis variants in girls with hypergonadotropic hypogonadism
AbstractThe aim of this study is to evaluate clinic-laboratory characteristics of various types of gonadal dysgenesis in girls with hypergonadotropic hypogonadism. According to the results of this study the following nosological types of gonadal dysgenesis in girls with hypergonadotropic hypogonadism were diagnosed: Turner syndrome, pure gonadal dysgenesis (46,XY type), pure gonadal dysgenesis (46,XX type). Among 3 groups of patients were statistically significant differences in some values in girls with Y-chromosome in karyotypes. Such patients are more likely to have upper normal values of height, more progressed stage of puberty and significantly elevated estrogen and testosterone concentrations. These features can be caused by the development of a germ cell tumor.
