Evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment of ulcer defects in patients with diabetic foot syndrome after hospitalization

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a global medical and social threat to human health and society. Diabetic foot syndrome is a necrotic lesion of the feet due to diabetic polyneuropathy and/or angiopathy. According to various estimates the prevalence ranges from 4 to 10% of the diabetic population. 63 patients receiving inpatient treatment at the endocrinology department of the city hospital were examined to identify the causes of different outcomes. Efficiency of treatment depends on the complience of patients, the period of curing, the previous revascularization operations and the fact of previous amputations.
