Coronary features of coronary artery in patients with type 2 diabetes and acute myocardial infarction

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus in patients is associated with early manifestation and rapid progression of atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries underlying coronary artery disease. The nature of atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries is directly related to the severity, course and prognosis of cardiovascular disease. The article describes the nature of the lesion of the coronary arteries, depending on gender, age, experience of diabetes, hypoglycemic therapy. A comparison of groups of patients with different criteria revealed the relationship between the nature of atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries and the age of the patients, and interesting data were obtained regarding the relationship between the length of diabetes, hypoglycemic therapy and atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries.
