The effect of micronutrients on the condition of patients with diabetes and comorbid conditions

Abstract

Nutrition in various endocrine diseases has a tremendous impact on the course of the disease, can slow the progression of complications and improve the quality of life. In relation to premorbid conditions, depending on the chosen dietary strategy, it is possible not only to level existing symptoms and syndromes, but also to postpone and possibly prevent the occurrence of the disease in the future. Of course, this also applies to the balance of the diet, its sufficient saturation with various macro-, micro-and ultramicroelements, vitamins and acids. Achieving adequate concentrations of the studied biologically significant elements and substances in the body allows you to drastically influence both premorbid conditions, leveling the increasing negative effects of existing deviations, and reduce the risks of diabetesmellitus, stroke, heart failure.
