AACE comprehensive diabetes management algorithm 2013 (personalized prophylactic diabetology)

Abstract

In this paper are examined the main principles of the Comprehensive Diabetes Management Algorithm AACE released in 2013. This Algorithm is presented the personalized prophylactic approach to the management as of the patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, so the individuums with a high risk of diabetes (having obesity, prediabetes and/or cardiovascular risk factors). The enlarged use of the incretins (incretinomimetics and DPP4-inhybitors) and insulin analogs is the new in the glucose lowering therapy.
