The manysidedness of effects of Аktovegin in the treatment of diabetes complications

Abstract

Present time, the need for the active therapy of diabetes complications is not in doubt. Disturbance of microcirculation and dysfunction structures of the nervous system occur at the very early stages of diabetes. With consideration for the irreversible changes of a vessel wall and the death of nervous system axons, strategy for the prevention and treatment of neurological complications of diabetes is in a broad early use of drugs reduce oxidative stress, improve microcirculation and prevent the death of axons. Actovegin is the drug, which influences on the main pathogenetic mechanisms of the disease and tooks its rightful place in therapy of diabetes complications.
