Puberty delay in girls: etiologic structure of the disease
AbstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the etiological structure of puberty delay in girls. Results of this study showed that puberty delay structure in girls includes the equal proportions of transient and permanent hypogonadism cases. Permanent hypergonadotropic hypogonadism is observed significantly more often while hypogonadotropic hypogonadism is observed in 1 out of 10 cases. Transient puberty delay in case of constitutional delay of puberty in girls is observed as often as when it caused by functional hypogonadism.
