Clinical and laboratory characteristics of constitutional delayed puberty in girls

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical-laboratory characteristic of constitutional puberty delay in girls presented by primary amenorrhea in 83.3% of cases. Girls of this group in 90% of cases had average growth rates, in 20% - excess body weight. In all clinical observations of girls with primary amenorrhea, levels of gonadotropic hormones, estradiol and genitometric measures corresponded to the stage of puberty. On average, 10 months have passed from the moment of verification of constitutional delay in puberty to menarche. The average age of menarche was 16.7±0.81 years.
