Assessment of psychosocial aspects of life of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus on insulin pump therapy

Abstract

This work draws attention to the psychosocial aspects of the use of insulin pump therapy, in order to identify the reasons for the rejection of the technology by patients with all its advantages. According to the results of the study, the need for educational activities among the population was established, and the reasons for decrease in patient compliance were identified, such as background anxiety about a pump malfunction, the cost of consumables, inconvenience during sleep, and others.
