Possibilities of flash glucose monitoring as a method of continuous glucose monitoring in patients with diabetes mellitus in clinical practice

Abstract

Control of glycemic profile is the most important aspect of diabetes therapy. Nowadays innovative methods of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) are being actively introduced. The article describes the results of the experience of using a flash glycemic monitoring system (FGM) to control blood glucose in patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, studying the role of FGM in assessing the main parameters of the glycemic profile in comparison with self-monitoring of blood glucose using a glucose meter.

Also this article represents the main advantages of CGM as an innovative method of glycemic control in comparison with traditional control of blood glucose using a glucose meter.
