Simultaneously detected papillary thyroid carcinoma and early pregnancy. Possible strategy
AbstractThe most common type of thyroid cancer is papillary carcinoma. Differentiated thyroid cancer is a potentially curable disease with a good prognosis. When well-differentiated cancer during pregnancy is detected, the question of treatment strategy should be considered individually. There is no consensus regarding the deadlines and urgency of surgical intervention in these cases. This article presents a clinical case in which a tactic was chosen, taking into account the diagnosis and interests of the patient. The tactic that allows, on the one hand, to preserve pregnancy and on the other hand, to detect the progression of cancer in a timely manner.
