The prevalence of comorbid pathology in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

The study was conducted to assess the incidence of comorbid pathology in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study revealed the predominance of the following pathology: cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, thyroid gland. The analysis showed that comorbidity reduces the percentage of predicted 10-year survival.
