Features of the course of diabetes mellitus in the outcome of total pancreatectomy. Clinical case

Abstract

Today, in modern diabetology, the most important condition for a personalized approach to patient management is accurate verification of the type of diabetes mellitus. Particular attention is drawn to a fairly large, but at the same time, insufficiently studied group of patients with diabetes mellitus as a result of pancreatic diseases, in particular, after surgical interventions. We present a clinical observation of the development of diabetes mellitus as a result of total pancreatectomy. Of particular interest is the change in the type of diabetes mellitus after the operation and, consequently, the correction of treatment tactics.
