Clinical and laboratory characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes hospitalized in foot rescue department
AbstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and laboratory characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus hospitalized in foot rescue department. Results of the study showed that these patients have long experience of diabetes mellitus, uncontrolled hyperglycemia, a high percentage of macrovascular complications of diabetes and polyneuropathy. In most clinical cases, laboratory parameters have not been evaluated that could allow the assessment and timely correction of risk factors for the development of ulcerative necrotic processes. Some patients did not receive proper therapy. All this testifies to the low adherence of patients to treatment and inadequate management of these patients.
