Comparative analysis of clinical and laboratory parameters of patients of the lower extremity rescue department depending on the presence or absence of diabetes mellitus
AbstractDiabetes mellitus is not only an independent chronic disease requiring serious treatment, but also an important risk factor for the development of many diseases based on atherosclerotic vascular lesion. In the course of a retrospective analysis of data from patients of the lower limb rescue department, it was found that patients with diabetes mellitus, unlike patients without diabetes mellitus, have more severe hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia, as well as a higher percentage of arterial hypertension. It is worth mentioning that this triad is a key in relation to the risks of developing of atherosclerotic and polyneuropathic lesions of the lower extremities.
