Clinical and laboratory predictors of inefficiency of Helicobacter pylori eradication in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and chronic gastritis
AbstractThe aim of the study is to predict the possible inefficiency of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus using standard triple therapy enhanced with bismuth tripotassium dicitrate. The search was conducted by the ANOVA method. Analysis of the results showed predictors of eradication therapy failure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. They are body mass index, duration of diabetes, glycated hemoglobin concentration, the severity of dyspeptic and reflux syndromes, determined by the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale questionnaire. The opportunity of successful eradication of Helicobacter pylori decreases at high values of these parameters.
