Modified algorithm for diagnosing of follicular thyroid tumor
AbstractRecently, there has been a constant increase in the incidence of malignant thyroid neoplasms. However, the detection of a follicular tumor in the cytological material (category IV according to Bethesda) remains a gray zone of diagnosis, because it does not allow to classify the material as benign or malignant. The proposed algorithm for preoperative examination makes it possible to diagnose malignant tumors of the thyroid gland and select the optimal group of patients for surgical treatment.
