Cytokine status in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and carbohydrate metabolism disorders
AbstractThe paper is dedicated to the study of the nature of the inflammatory response in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), impaired glucose tolerance/impaired fasting glycemia (IGT/IFG). Analysis of the results showed a marked increase in the levels of interleukin‑1β, interleukin‑6, and interleukin‑10 in patients with both T2DM and STEMI, as well as IGT/IFG and STEMI relative to the control group.
